State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Neustadt an der Waldnaab
Additions : 1946 Rupprechtsreuth; 1972 Hütten (partly)
German |
In Rot ein silberner Mantel mit abflatternden silbernen Schnüren und blauem Kragen in Rückenansicht. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms are canting, showing a cloak (Mantel in German). The oldest known seal dates from the late 16th century and already shows the cloak. All later seals and arms show a cloak, even though the shape and size differed widely. The colours are known since 1811 and have not changed since.
