NO 845 SQUADRON, FAA
History: First formed in 1943 at Naval Air Station Quonset Point, Rhode Island, USA as a Torpedo-Bomber-Reconnaissance Squadron. Reformed 1954 with Westland Whirlwind Helicopters. Now trains Naval and Marine Pilots for working with the Royal Marines.

Origin/meaning
The Latin Motto translates as "I hear the enemy", alluding to the dipping sonar used in Anti-Submarine Warfare. The Badge was approved on 12 May 1955,
