GLOSTRUP

Region : Hovedstaden
Amt (until 2007) : København

Arms (crest) of Glostrup

Origin/meaning

The arms were registered in 1940.

The arms show a golden circle as a symbol for a globe, which is supposedly canting for the old name of the town, Globs Torp (of the village of Glob). The three fleur-de-lis symbolise the three other villages in the municipality, Ejby, Hvissinge and Avedøre.
