Arms of Rønde

Origin/meaning

The arms were registered in 1973.

The tower in the upper part of the arms represents the Kalø castle, which is situated in the municipality. The ten silver besants symbolise the fact that King Valemar Atterdag in 1340 bought the castle and estate of Kalø for 10.000 silver marks from the Counts of Holstein.
