WIESBACH

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Südwestpfalz
Verbandsgemeinde : Zweibrücken-Land

Wappen von Wiesbach (Pfalz)/Arms (crest) of Wiesbach (Pfalz)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 20, 1982.

The first quarter shows the arms of the Lors of Sickingen, who ruled the area until 1589. The lion of their successors, the Dukes of the Pfalz, is shown in the fourth quarter. The wheel symbolizes the former watermills in the village, whereas the crosier in the third quarter refers to the former Hornbach Abbey.
