ISLISBERG

Canton : Aargau

Wappen von Islisberg/Arms (crest) of Islisberg

Official blazon

Schräg geteilt von Gelb mit schreitendem rotem Löwen und von Blau mit weissem Schlüssel.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on December 21, 1982.

The lion is derived from the lion of Habsburg and Bremgarten, and indicates that the area historically belonged to the city of Bremgarten. The key is derived from the arms of the Kelleramt of Zürich, which had several privileges in the area.
