PEUSCHEN

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Saale-Orla Kreis
Additions : 1974 Laskau; 1994 Bahren

Wappen von Peuschen/Arms (crest) of Peuschen
Official blazon
German Geteilt von Silber und Grün; oben wachsend ein schwarzer, golden bewehrter Adler, unten drei im Dreipass gestellte silberne Lindenblätter.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 29, 1996.

The upper half of the arms shows the Prussian eagle, symbolising that two of the three villages in the municipality belonged to Preussen until 1945. The lower half shows three combined linden leaves, one for each of the three villages. Linden trees are very common in the area.
