ODENTHAL
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on January 30, 1935.
The arms are based on a seal known from 1556, and show in the upper part the lion of Berg, as the are belonged historically to the County Berg. The lower part probably symbolises the nature and forests. Most places in the County Berg used a local symbol to distinguish the arms.
