EL PONT D'ARMENTERA
Region : Catalonia
Province : Tarragona
Catalan | Escut caironat: d'atzur, un pont d'or de 3 ulls sobremuntat d'una creu patent d'or i acostat de 2 bàculs d'abat d'or en pal. Per timbre una corona mural de vila. |

Origin/meaning
These arms have been officially granted on 25th September 2001.
These arms are canting: they show a "pont" (Catalan for "bridge"). The town belonged, since the 15th century, to the monastery of Santes Creus, and that is symbolized by the two abbot staffs at each side of the bridge and by the cross above, a canting element (Santes Creus meaning literally "Holy Crosses").
