CONTWIG

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Südwestpfalz
Verbandsgemeinde : Zweibrücken-Land
Additions : 1969 Stambach

Wappen von Contwig/Arms (crest) of Contwig
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 3, 1924; the upper right arms show the modern, slightly changed version.

The meaning of these arms is not known. The combination of the roses and the knot already appeared on historical seals of the village. The colours were arbitrarily added in the 1920s.
