Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 4, 1983.

The arms are a combination form element of the arms of families who had major possessions in the municipality. The chevron is taken from the arms of the Stignlheimer family. The lion's head is taken from the arms of the Auer von Winkl family and the colours are derived from the arms of the Pelkofer family. The base of the arms shows the fertile green valley of the Isar in which the municipality is situated.
