Incorporated into : 1974 Velbert

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1929.

The arms show in the upper part a canting 'long mountain', with the two valleys in the municipality. The oak tree symbolises the Eickeshagen mountain, on which the first church was built. The colours are taken from the colours of the arms of the counts of Berg (see the county arms).
