EVERSWINKEL

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Warendorf
Additions: 1975 Alverskirchen

Wappen von Everswinkel/Arms (crest) of Everswinkel
Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 15, 1962.

The upper half shows the front of the local church. The lower half is canting, showing a boar (Eber) and a chevron (from Winkel=hook, corner). The chevron is taken from the arms of the Lords von den Berge, the oldest known inhabitants of the local Borg castle.
