Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 29, 1988.
The arms show elements of the history of the three former municipalities. The black hook is taken from the arms of the Lords Von Hagel, who had possessions in Bachhagel. The castle refers to the Hagel Burg castle in Burghagel, which was destroyed in the middle of the 15th century and never rebuilt. The unicorn is taken from the arms of Oberbechingen and is taken from the Roth Von Schreckenstein family from Ulm, who owned the local estate from 1581-1622. The local castle was wuilt in 1584 by Hans Caspar Roth von Schreckenstein.
The wavy blue bar refers to the Bach- (brook, stream) part of the name.
Before 19872 the municipality used the arms below, which showed the black hook and a wavy bend as a canting element.
