German | In Blau ein silbernes Schildhaupt, überdeckt durch eine silberne Kirche in Frontalansicht mit stumpfem Dach und silbernem Balken-Dachreiter mit blauem Dach; die beiden Dachecken besteckt mit je einem silbernen, das blaue Dach des Dachreiters mit einem blauen Tatzenkreuz. Im offenen Portal in Blau ein goldener Schild, darin ein rotbewehrter und -bezungter schwarzer Löwe. |

Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 6, 1974.
The arms are based on the old seal of Pier, showing the local church and the arms of the Dukes of Jülich, who ruled the area for many centuries.
