Official blazon
Un scut triunghiular de azur cu marginile rotunjite. În interiorul scutului se află silueta unei biserici din lemn, văzută din față, cu turn, pridvor și tindă, ridicată pe fundație de piatră, totul de argint, flancată stânga-dreapta de câte o frunză de stejar de aur. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 13, 2011.
The church represents the historical and architectural monuments in the area, housing the Museum of Romanian Religious Art and also reproduces the image of the wooden orthodox church of St. Nicholas of Nadășa.
The oak leaves symbolize the many oaks in the Mociar forest.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.Literature:
