Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1809 and the current version is adopted on ??.
The coat of arms is basically the same as the one granted in 1809 by king Francis I, today in much simplified form. In a blue field a silver bridge with a tower, above it a silver escutcheon and a red arm holding a sabre (which was actually the arms of Bosnia at the time). The original grant showed two angels as supporters of the small shield and two eagles above the bridge, see below.
