CETĂȚENI
District/county (județ): Argeș
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 9, 2016.
The beech branches represent the forest richness of the area.
The wavy bar represents the Dâmbovița river that crosses the locality territory.
The fortress wall refers both to the name of the locality and to the ruins of the Dâmbovița de Sus fortress, located on the territory of the locality. The three merloons indicate the number of component villages of the commune.
The cross bottony symbolizes the "Cetățuia Negru Vodă" Monastery, which was built on the ruins of a former Dacian altar.
The mural crown means that the locality has the rank of commune.
