English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 7, 1938.

The arms are based on the old seals of the city, which all showed the 8-pointed star of the Counts of Starnberg, the former rulers of the area.

Hupp showed as arms the rose of Lippe, based on the newer seals of the city.
