Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1890 and were officially granted on June 30, 1922.
The arms are canting, a griffin (Greif) on a mountain (Berg). Previously the city used a seal with the arms of the Von Wülknitz family, who acquired the city in 1802.
