HÜFINGEN
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis (until 1973 Donaueschingen)
Additions : 1970 Sumpfohren; 1971 Fürstenberg; 1972 Behla, Hausen vor Wald; 1975 Mundelfingen
Official blazon
In Blau ein schwebender, gemauerter, spitzbedachter silberner Torturm mit zwei Erkertürmchen.
Origin/meaning
Hüfingen officially received city rights in 1452, but was already mentioned as a city in the 14th century. The oldest seal also dates from the middle of the 15th century and already shows a watch tower with two smaller side towers. This composition appeared on all later seals and images. The size and shape of the tower on the other hand has changed considerably between the different images.
