Escudo de prata, um pequeno monte de verde, realçado de negro, movente dos flancos e assente num contra-chefe de cinco faixetas ondadas de de prata e azul; em chefe, uma cruz de Santiago de vermelho, acompanhada de dois lemes de negro com ferragens de ouro, adossados, o da dextra posto em banda e o da sinistra em barra, e de dois molhos de espigas de trigo de ouro, folhadas de verde e atados de vermelho. Listel branco com letras a a negro : " CIDADE DO MONTIJO ".
