Official blason

De gueules au marteau d'argent, chargé d'un dragon contourné d'or, les ailes éployées et la queue tortillée autour du marteau.

Origin/meaning

The hammer and the red colour refer to the metal industry in the town. The dragon is taken from the arms of the St. Vanne Abbey in Verdun, as Algrange historically was one of the main possessions of the abbey.
