State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Main-Spessart (until 1973 Lohr am Main)
Additions : 1972 Hausen; 1978 Waldzell
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 16, 1982.
St. Sebastian is the local patron saint and appeared on the 18th century seal of the village. The village historically was a possession of the Neustadt am Main Abbey within the State of Würzburg until 1803. From 1803-1819 the village belonged to Baden and from 1819 to Bayern.
The three small shields thus show the arms of the State of Würzburg (points), Baden (bend) and the Neustadt am Main abbey (letter N).
