TJÆREBORG
Region : Midtjylland
Amt (until 2007) : Ribe
Incorporated into : 1970 Esbjerg
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1966.
The three crowned eagle heads are taken from the arms of Wenzel Rotkirch, who in 1626 saved the life of King Christian IV and later bought an estate in the village. The linden tree is taken from the seal of the former Skarst hundred.
