RÅDE

Province : Østfold

Arms of Råde

Official blazon

På grønn bunn en gull skråbjelke.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 30, 1980.

The arms are canting. The name Råde is derived from the old word Rad, meaning a glacial moraine. The arms thus symbolise the moraine and glacial path from the Ice ages that runs through the municipality. The colour green symbolises the fertile soil.
