Wappen von Garbenheim

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1953 and show a canting garb.

The arms with the garb and three small bars are already known since the 14th century in the arms of the Lords of Garbenheim. This family had large possessions in the area since the early 13th century until 1328. The arms were based on the arms of the Lords, as there were no old seals or images of a village arms.
