Origin/meaning

The crowned white eagle and the red color of the shield are the symbols of the Polish Kingdom and refer to the fact that Slavkov was once a royal town. Monogram S is the initial name of the city. The crossed hammers refer to the local mining activities.

The previous arms shows St. Stanislaus, the local patron saint.
