Origin/meaningUnfortunately I have no information on the meaning or background of the shield itself. Any information is welcome ! The two figures in the coat of arms represent each of the rivers, Tanaro (the male figure) and Stura (the female figure) which embrace the valley below the bastion where the city is situated.
