Selected collector's items from Germany:

BORCHEN

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Paderborn
Additions: 1969 Alfen, Nordborchen, Kirchborchen; 1975 Amt Kirchborchen, Dörenhagen, Etteln

Wappen von Borchen

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 17, 1975.

The letter B is made from 5 lines, indicating that the municipality was created from 5 former municipalities. The cross in the letter symbolises the former State and diocese of Paderborn, to which the area historically belonged. The waves symbolise the Alme and Altenau rivers in the municipality.
