Selected collector's items from Germany:

BACHFELD

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Sonneberg

Wappen von Bachfeld

Official blazon

(de) Im von Silber und Rot über Blau halbgespaltenen und geteilten Schild oben vom und unten ein Wellenschrägbalken in verwechselten Farben; oben hinten eine silberne Flachsblüte.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 24, 1994.

The horizontal division in silver and blue is taken from the arms of the Lords of Schaumburg, who owned the area for a long period of time. The flax flower refers to the (formerly) important flax cultivation. The wavy bend is a canting element (Bach=brook, stream) and refers to the Itz and Krensenbach in the municipality.
