Escudo de verde, monte de três cômoros de prata, movente dos flancos e, nascente dele, duas árvores de ouro, folhadas de prata; em chefe, coroa mariana de ouro. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro em maiúsculas : “ DORNELAS – SEVER DO VOUGA “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 24, 2000.
The mountains and the trees symbolise the Serra do Arestal mountains, which are densely forested. They also indicate, together with the green field, the development of the area, in whih forest is cleared for cultivation.
The crown is the symbol of Our Lady of Fátima, the local patron saint.
