KAUNS

State : Tirol
District : Landeck

Wappen von Kauns

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 13, 1993.

The arms refer to the Berneck castle, showing a bear for a castle wall. The wall is not straight, as Ecke means corner. The medieval Lords of Berneck already used a bear in their arms

The base refers to the meaning of the name, which means shallow valley.
