Écartelé: au 1er de gueules à trois gouttes d'argent, au 2e d'azur à trois fleurs de lis d'or, au 3e d'azur à la bande d'argent côtoyée de deux cotices potencées et contre-potencées d'or, au 4e de gueules à la croix d'argent chargée d'une pointe de silex de gueules en abîme; sur le tout, d'azur au cœur enflammé de gueules percé de deux flèches basses d'or passées en sautoir et surmonté de deux étoiles du même.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted on December 14, 1991.
The arms show in the first quarter three tears for St. Medardus, the local patron saint. The second and third quarter show the arms of the Île-de-France and Champagne regions, to which the village currently and historically belonged. The fourth quarter indicates that in gallo-roman times the village (symbolised by the rock) was on an important road crossing.
The inescutcheon shows the arms of François Allaine priest and benefactor of the village in the seventeenth century.
