HÄVER

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Herford
Amt : Amt Kirchlengern
Incorporated into : 1969 Kirchlengern

Wappen von Häver

Official blazon

(de)

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 1, 1939.

The arms show in the upper part the rose of the Counts of Lippe, to whom the village historically belonged. The lower half shows three dog's heads, derived from the arms of the Von Borries family. In 1791 the village estate was bought by

Franz Christian v. Borries zu Eckendorf Beck und Ulenburg and the family ruled the village until 1833.
