SCHIEDER-SCHWALENBERG
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Lippe (until 1972 Detmold)
Additions : 1970 Brakelsiek, Lothe, Ruensiek, Schieder, Schwalenberg, Siekholz, Wöbbel
Official blazon
Von Rot und Blau durch eine silberne Wellenleiste schräg-links geteilt. In Rot auf einem goldenen achtstrahligen Stern eine natürliche Schwalbe; in Blau eine goldene Krone.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 14, 1972.
The arms are a combination of parts of the arms of Schieder and Schwalenberg. The upper part shows the star and swallow of Schwalenberg. The wavy bend is the Emmer river, whereas the crown is taken from the arms of Schieder and represents the former Royal estate in the town.
