Official blazon
- (1819) Dwars door midden gedeeld, waarvan het bovenste van lazuur beladen met drie gekroonde klimmende leeuwen van goud, het onderste van rood beladen met het wapen der stad Luik.
- (1842) Coupé de Franchimont et de Liège, c'est-à-dire d'argent à trois lionceaux couronnds, de sinople en chef; et de gueules au perron d'or, en pointe, accompagné des lettres L et G de même.
- (1979) Coupé au 1er d'argent à trois lions de sinople, armés et lampassés de gueules, couronnés d,or (qui est du Marquisat de Franchimont), au 2 de gueules au peron liégeois accosté des lettres capitale L et G, le tout d'or (qui est de la Principauté de Liège). L'écu sommé d'une corronne d'or à trois fleurons séparés l'un de l'autre par trois perles alignées.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 24, 1819 and confirmed on August 29, 1842 and again on June 8, 1979 with the addition of a crown.
