Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 15, 2005.
The arms are officially canting: the honeycomb refers to wax ("vaskas" in Lithuanian), and the chevron refers to the initial letter V of the town name. The golden field also symbolizes honesty, and the comb the activity of the people and the red the blood spilled for freedom of the country.
