Supporters: Dexter a white-tailed deer sinister a moose both Or attired Vert charged on the shoulder with a hurt bearing a rose Or and standing on a sandy mount set with rocks and sand dollars proper.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 15, 2007.

The sun and the blue and yellow stripes indicate the Atlantic Ocean and the spectacular sunsets for which the region is known. The pine trees represent the local forests.

The bald eagle is representative of local First Nations. The salmon indicates the importance of fishing in the local economy.

The deer and moose are local wildlife. The roses refer to the Hansa rose, the official municipal floral emblem. The sand, rocks and sand dollars represent the ocean shoreline.
