Official blazon
- (de) Durch einen von Silber und Rot in zwei Reihen geschachten Schrägbalken geteilt von Grün und Blau; oben eine silberne Fürstenkrone, unten eine dreibogige, gemauerte silberne Brücke.
Origin/meaning
The old arms (above left) were granted on February 28, 1964.
The wavy bar in the arms shows the Amper river. The wheel and plough are symbols for the agriculture and industry in the district.
The new arms were granted on November 11, 1976.
The arms are based on some historical facts. The bend is a symbol for on the former Cistercian monastery in Fürstenfeld, the arms of the order are black with a chequered bend. The crown symbolises both Duke Lüdwig II of Wittelsbach, who founded the monastery, and Abbot Pellhammer, who ended the building of the church in 1747. The crown is derived from his personal arms. The bridge is taken from the old arms of the town of Fürstenfeldbruck.
