Wappen von Stans (Tirol)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 7, 1960.

The grill is the symbol of the local patron saint, St. Lawrence. The wheat ears are taken from the arms of the founder of the St. Georgenberg Abbey, Ratold von Aibling. The abbey played an important role in the local history.
