WIEN-MATZLEINSDORF
State : Wien (Vienna)
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms show St Florian in the uniform of a Roman warrior with the water bucket and the silver flag with the red cross. He is the patron saint of the Matzleinsdorf parish church. The former village of Matzleinsdorf goes back to the male name "Zazo" or "Mazelin" and has been documented as "Mazelinestorf" since 1130.
