These arms are those of the former lords of Villars. This family already appears in the course of the 12th century in Villars. It was one of the benefactors of the Hauterive abbey and had a family vault in this monastery, where the arms are also shown. The colors are shown in a 14th century fresco, discovered near the vault. The village thus adopted the family arms in the early 20th century.

These arms are those of the former lords of Villars. This family already appears in the course of the 12th century in Villars.
