I rött fält en balkvis gående silverström belagd med två svarta sparrar, däröver en chef av silver med en röd, antik blixt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 31, 1918.
The arms show the Göta river, with the many locks and dams. The latter are also used to produce electricity, which is symbolised in the upper part of the arms.
