Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
RÜCKERSHAUSEN
State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Schwalm-Eder Kreis (until 1973 Ziegenhain)
Incorporated into : 1972 Neukirchen (Knüll)
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were not officially granted.
The arms show a golden garb with a rake and scythe. The image is based on the seal of Rückershausen dating from 1802. The meaning of the elements, which were used in many more municipalities in the Ziegenhain region, is not known, they may simply refer to the rich agriculture in the region. Compare for example : Berfa, Ottrau, Riebelsdorf, Röllshausen, Asterode and Görzhain.
Literature : Hessisches Wappenbuch, 1956
