Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 5, 1974.

The arms are taken from the arms of the Apfenthaler family. The three annulets are considered canting and are supposedly apples (Äpfel). The family ruled the village from 1529-1830.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
