Escudo de vermelho, ramo de oliveira de ouro entre duas tiras de papel de prata, postas em pala e enroladas nos topos; campanha de quatro burelas, duas de prata, uma de azul e uma de vermelho, alternadas. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ SÃO JULIÃO DO TOJAL “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 8, 1996.
The arms show two scrolls of paper, which symbolise the local paper manufacturing. The olive branch refers to the olive groves and olive oil production in the parish. The wavy bar is the Trancão river. Literature : image send by Sergio Horta
