In Rot ein gestürztes silbernes Faßeisen. Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on April 15, 1937. The arms show a stylised Faßeisen, a piece of metal to hold a barrel together. The meaning of the symbol is not clear, but it appeared on the seal of the district from the middle of the 18th century.
