Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 5, 1995.
The arms show a canting oak (Eiche) tree, the name means oak-forest. The oak also refers to the so-called Peace-Oak, a tree standing over 300 years in the village.
Previously the village used already a seal with an oak tree.
