Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 2000.

The ar,s show three falcons, a very common bird in the area. The three birds also symbolise the three villages in the municipality: Kötschlitz, Zschöchergen and Möritzsch.

The blue sides of the shield symbolise the many small brooks and rivers in the municipality.
